1. What my life was before I became a Christian.
I came to know about Jesus Christ when I was 5 years old through kindergarten, but I did not understand the Bible.
I only knew more about Christianity during university, when I was approached by members of the Christian society who explained the gospel to me. That was when I started to learn more about the Bible’s teachings and ways to live a godly life.
2. What my life is like now that I’m a Christian.
“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.” (Ephesians. 4:14)
3. How that change came about.
The change was gradual and took many years. Early exposure to the Bible’s teaching helped. It protected me from 1) giving up too easily by teaching the importance of perseverance; 2) the consequence of giving into sin and bad temptations; 3) hatred, anger and selfishness. During difficult times, I am always motivated by God’s word.
4. How I came to be part of LPPC.
I have been to different churches before I moved to Bishan, when I discovered LPPC. So far, this is the friendliest church and I really like the people and the way the gospel is preached. We have therefore decided to settle here.
