The Hospitality Ministry is made up of the Newcomers’ Ministry and the Lunch Fellowship Ministry.
The Newcomers’ Ministry seeks to welcome and integrate newcomers into the LPPC family. Our desire is that no one will be a stranger in Living Praise. To that end, we are blessed with the enthusiastic “Befrienders” who keep a lookout for newcomers each week. They diligently follow up with the newcomers by getting to know them, praying for them, and matching them to appropriate ministries in LPPC, amongst others. We seek to move newcomers from Strangers to Guests to Hosts (S.G.H.) as they journey with us in the LP family. “Befrienders” also welcome visitors who come to LPPC just for special occasions. Even if they may not return, we want to extend our warm fellowship to them as they enjoy our friendship and hospitality.
Lunch Fellowship Ministry
The Lunch Fellowship Ministry seeks to build God’s community and provide loving care to one another in LPPC by serving lunch each Sunday. This time is an extension of the normal Sunday service when members can speak the gospel to one another in an informal setting. It also affords opportunities for members to serve and interact with one another. The emphasis on ‘one-another-ing’ keeps us focused on fellowship in addition to the food. Our joy is to see the canteen packed each week with laughter, prayer and loving service, all to one another!
